Mr. Stewart is pre-eminently qualified in healthcare Affiliations. He has assisted Paragon clients in hundreds of Affiliations, completing several dozens. Others were not completed based on our in-depth analysis of what was in the best interest of our clients.

Joint Ventures
Mr. Stewart has been involved in all types of joint ventures from syndicating the first MRI in Memorial Houston, to general acute care hospitals, surgery centers, specialty surgical hospitals, imaging centers, cardiac programs, mobile technologies, gamma knife, etc. all across the Sunbelt. Several dozen have been completed since 1982.

Physician Group Hospital Integration
Paragon has extensive experience in combining large medical group practices and hospitals into integrated systems. While many physician group hospital integrations occurred in the 90’s, the two large total system mergers that Paragon facilitated still remain in place today with satisfied partners. Blue Ridge Primary Care was formed with Paragon as the Navigator-Catalyst-Partner advisor and merged into Carillon Health System in western Virginia.  Cotton O’Neil Clinic in Topeka is the pre-eminent physician practice in the state of Kansas.  Several years ago, when Columbia Hospital System actively engaged many physician practices, we worked with Stormont Vail and proposed the design and executed the valuation and merger of the Clinic Health System. This was considered a model merger and was presented by many consultants as one of a handful of successful models. I have seen presentations of the best hospital physician models by others, not involved in the merger, and I did not realize it was that Affiliation until they told us.

Valuations
Paragon has performed hundreds of health care entity valuations of all types.

Mergers of Hospitals into Systems
Among others, Paragon was involved in several projects for the now Promina System in Atlanta when the management and Paragon initiated contact with Kennestone about a joint venture of the Windy Hill Hospital.
